Tips for Keeping your Eyes Bright and White
Submitted by Josh Talkington on January 3, 2013
To keep the whites of your eyes bright and protect the thin skin around your eyes from sun andwind damage, wear large-frame UV-protective sunglasses whenever you are outside. This is so important for the health of your eyes as well. Clavenna Vision Institute has a great selection of UV-protective sunglasses whether they are needed with a prescription or without. Our opticians welcome outside prescriptions for eyeglasses as well.
Did you know that a recent study at the University of Maryland found that people with bloodshot eyes are viewed as sadder, unhealthier, and less attractive than people with brighter eye whites? Preservative free OTC artificial tears can help soothe your eyes and keep them looking fresh. Also be sure to remember to take off contact lenses as soon as you get home from work, and never sleep in them. If you have any concerns about the health of your eyes please be sure to schedule an appointment with one of our Board Certified Ophthalmologists in Birmingham, MI.
